The Celebrate Tech Radar is a visual representation of technologies and techniques that we use in our tech ecosystem or are evaluating for use. We have the following four statuses:

IN USE - Items with this status can be found in multiple mature projects. We will use these for new projects as well, if it makes sense.

TRIAL - These items may be in one or two mature projects or in a POC / MVP phase project. We’re testing them further to make sure they really meet our needs.

ASSESS - Here are new or new-to-us items which we would like to try out. Typically we will use these in a single low-risk project to gather information before deciding whether to move forward with them.

PHASE OUT - These used to be IN USE and can still be found in our mature projects, but there’s a better way of doing it nowadays and we’d like to get rid of these when we can.

Each tech function maintains their own section of the radar in whatever way makes the most sense for them. We use the radar to show the outside world what tools we’re working with, but also to keep track of them internally and to discuss what should be phased out and what looks new and exciting and should be checked out.
